Telšiai Bernardine monastery and seminary building complex
Telšiai Bernardine monastery and seminary sacred building complex – is one of the most important in Samogitia. It stands on the northern shore of lake Mastis, upon the hill of Insula. The buildings rose for the first time in the 17th century, the complex comprises the Bernardine monastery and church (which in 1926 became a cathedral), the seminary, the Episcopal palace, school and other buildings.

Telšiai Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven
Telšiai parish was established in 1536. The same year by the order of the Grand Duke Sigismund the Old of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania Telšiai Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven was built. In 1612, a parish school was established at the church. The church was rebuilt and reconstructed a few times, but the only authentic element that remains to this day is the bell that was churned in 1619.

Varniai St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s church building complex and Lourdes in the churchyard (built in 1914, one of the oldest in Lithuania)
St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s church In Varniai city, which can be found on the river of Varnelė shore, has been given the status of cultural heritage object, however the first Varniai Cathedral has not survived to present day. The holy building’s foundations, which were laid in 1421, were not found during later archaeological searches.

The Minor Basilica of the Visitation of the Holy Virgin Mary
The Minor Basilica of the Visitation of the Holy Virgin Mary, built on the Samogitian Calvary, is renowned for its transitional Baroque to Neo-Classical architectural style. The towers of the basilica have been renovated and rebuilt a few times, and some of the altars are identified as Neo-Baroque in their styling. The present day Minor Basilica of the Visitation of the Holy Virgin Mary is the fourth to have been built in the Samogitian town of Kalvarija.

Plungė St John the Baptist church building complex and Lourdes replica with a sculpture of the Holy Virgin Mary
The St John the Baptist church buildings are the main cultural objects of Plungė Old Town. The church was built in the Romanesque revival style, with a Latin cross layout and two towers. The predecessor of the present-day church was the wooden 1797 St John the Baptist church, which did not survive to present times. The building of the new church began in 1899.

Kretinga Bernardine Monastery and the Lord’s Revelation to Virgin Mary Church building complex
The Lord’s Revelation to the Virgin Mary Church building, which can be found at the centre of Kretinga Town, is one of the oldest churches in Samogitia. The masonry buildings of the monastery and the church were built in 1605-1617. They were built by a nobleman of the Lithuanian-Polish Commonwealth, Jonas Karolis Chodkevich, on his wife’s initiative, and the development of the whole town of Kretinga is directly tied to the establishment of the Franciscan monastery.

Count Tyszkiewicz Family Chapel-Mausoleum
The Count Tyszkiewicz Family Chapel-Mausoleum, along with the fence the eastern and western gates of the graveyard, rests in the site of the old graveyard of Kretinga Parish and forms a single complex. It is a state-protected cultural heritage object of regional significance.
